Apptix (formerly Telecomputing),
an International Application Service Provider (ASP)
Needed help in redefining its ASP division in anticipation
of a strategic partnership with a major telecom company...
Telecomputing invited Webenetics to assist
in assessing requirements to craft the business and technical
architecture for Telecomputing's partner. Telecomputing got
more than they bargained for when Webenetics not only clarified
and simplified the integration strategy, but also refined
their use case point analysis to more accurately estimate
and plan the funding proposal.
Based on this initial success, Telecomputing retained Webenetics
to work on an internal project: automating Telecomputing's
ASP Operational Support System (OSS). With the company in
the midst of a healthy growth cycle, Telecomputing wanted
to implement hardware and software resources quickly to support
large influxes of new users. The company had been developing
a system that allowed their administrators, using a simple
web interface, to instantly add hundreds of "seats"
at one time - auto configuring back-end servers, permission
levels, and web-delivered services for the customers. Working
closely with the international members of the design team,
Webenetics offered new insights into the conceptual structure
of the architecture resulting in a standardized model toward
which all arms of the company could design. Webenetics continued
providing in-depth requirements analysis, use case analysis
and object-oriented design.
The Webenetics solution enabled Telecomputing to successfully
connect with their partners' software systems to build a seamless
enterprise and to add customers more quickly and accurately,
saving them money and improving the efficiency of their operations.
