Webenetics
has successfuly delivered multiple projects at the World Bank.
See selected case studies below:
1) The CGAP Portal
2) The Microfinance Rating Fund
3) Project Management and Leadership,
MIS Training
1) The
CGAP Portal
The
World Bank's Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP)
needed a way to consolidate customer data and simplify data
gathering and customer outreach. Webenetics branded
and customized the Webenetics Portal's Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) Module to CGAP’s specifications and migrated
data from a legacy Lotus Notes system into the robust Webenetics
Portal system.
The Webenetics Portal provides a user-friendly, division-specific
alternative to existing, cumbersome World Bank-wide information
systems. The Portal provides a central contact database, provides
highly-detailed search capabilities, and greatly simplifies
the creation of mailing lists and mailing labels. The Portal
enables information push through targeted lists and eNewsletters
created through its online Content Management System (CMS).
In May 2005, Webenetics added its first overseas client.
CAPAF, relying on local Senegalese infrastructure that limited
mailing lists to 20, found it extremely cumbersome to send
information updates to its members. The Webenetics Portal
not only provided CAPAF the ability to reach out like never
before to thousands at a time, but do so easily with full
color eNewsletters! [read

2) The Microfinance Rating
Fund
The
World Bank and its partners needed a way to increase the availability
of high-quality, reliable information on the risk and performance
of Microfinance Institutions. The Rating Fund is
a joint initiative of Inter-American Development Bank (IDB),
the World Bank's Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP),
and the European Union (EU).
The primary objectives of the Rating Fund are:
Market-building
for MFI rating and assessment services by encouraging
greater demand from MFIs for professional external evaluations,
as well as strengthening the quality of supply.
Improved
transparency of MFI financial performance, as a basis
for improved performance and increased flow of commercial
funding to MFIs.
The application is written in Microsoft .Net and C# on a
SQL Server backend. The Rating Fund features multi-language
capability, online applications and comparisons, Excel exports,
reporting, and a dynamic, back-end administrative interface
that includes a Content Management System (CMS) enabling users
to dynamically manage users, documents, and site content.
3) Project
Management and Leadership, eGovernment, Information Technology/MIS
Training
World
Wide Solutions needed to develop custom curriculum and software
to support World Bank funded programs promoting Nigeria's
transition to a democracy and to a professional Civil Service...
World Wide Solutions asked Webenetics to apply its business
and project management experience toward developing custom
training solutions aimed at senior, high-level Nigerian Government
Ministry officials. Webenetics created structured custom curriculum
and delivered courses that emphasized practical applications
of Project Management and Leadership concepts. Webenetics
also created and delivered courses on eGovernment, MIS / eBusiness,
Information Technology and the Internet, and Microsoft Office
and Automation. These interactive, 2 and 3-week programs provide
an in-depth look at US practices and insight into how these
concepts could be applied in the West African context.
The Webenetics training has been used successfully to help
transform rigid, impersonal, ineffective organizations into
excellent, professional organizations.
In addition, WWS needed a way to manage client data and share
data such as electronic courses, syllabi, and follow up with
course participants overseas. WWS chose the Webenetics
Portal.
