Greetings. My grandparents left Hungary for the US around the 1900's. My grandfathers name was George OROSZ and lived in the Debrecen area in a region called Birri. My grandmother lived in an area called Viri, her name was mary BAKITI. I have not been able to locate these places on any maps. The left from the Port of Fuimia in Italy and entered I think in NY or maybe Canada as I have hears stories over the years that they hit a storm at sea and had to re-route the ship to Canada. They were married in Hungary and had one child in Hungary named Michael OROSZ. He is alive today and is 94 years old. We are looking for any information on the family names of Babicsak, Lencses and Bucs. I recently found the name of a young man named Bence Babicsak who is a baseball player on what must be a fairly significant baseball league in Hungary. The team name is POTE Fakezvek Baseball Club. This is all I know so far, although the photo that I found on the internet of him shows him to be about 20-25 years old. My grandfather was Imre Babicsak, born in Mehtelek, Hungary, 1880 or so. He married
Maria Lencses, born in Szarak Berek, Hungary, which later became the town of Bercu, Romania. She was born in 1889 or so. They came to America in the early 1900s, originally to the McKeesport, PA, area and ended up in Castalia, Ohio. I

My Grandfather was Andrew Schicht and he was married to Mary Gross. The came from Hungary in the 1900's to Buffalo, New York. He worked for Convair. They had seven children, George, Kathryn, Mary, John, Ana, Mike and Irma. He was transfered to San Diego, California. His wife died in March 1947 and he died a few monts later. He had a brother who lived in Chicago, Ill.
